planning during a pandemic

In this ever changing world, we all have concerns about the pandemic. During this time, many clients ask what items they need to be thinking about.   I am here to help, in office, in home or virtual visits. Lets get that planning taken care of!

Clients will want to review their powers of attorneys, especially health care and also living wills. These are very important documents to review to ensure everything stays updated. We want to make sure we also reflect your personal wishes. Now that people have some more time at home, its a perfect opportunity to pull out those old documents. Lets review them, or get ones in place to begin with to make proper arrangements.

Often when we review documents we will find things are outdated. We may also find that maybe we cannot even find the documents to begin with. It is simple and takes very little time and usually not much cost to take care of any of the basic groundwork.  It is important to plan ahead so that we don’t run into issues down the line where we find we have a person who doesn’t have competency to sign and then our process turns a lot more complicated and expensive.

Situations change, and that means keeping up with your estate planning too! Make sure we review to ensure the rights people are named. Like many things in life, proper forethought saves time and money.

In conclusion, schedule that consult sooner rather than later, and give yourself and your family the peace of mind you deserve!
